Significantly higher levels of glucocorticoid precursors (progesterone, 17-hydroxyprogesterone, and 11-deoxycortisol), mineralocorticoid precursors (11-deoxycorticosterone and corticosterone), androgen precursors (pregnenolone, 17-hydroxypregnenolone, and androstenedione), and DHEAS were observed in ACC patients compared to CPA patients (Fig. 1b).
