NR1H4 and hypertriglyceridemia: This reciprocal relationship is mostly based on the impact of the pharmacological action of BA-binding resins that induce hepatic production of TG-rich lipoprotein VLDL [61,62], whereas conversely, treatment of cholesterol gallstones with the hydrophobic CDCA reduced hypertriglyceridemia [63,64], likely through hepatic FXR activation [65].
