The sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, and AUC for survivin (cut-off point >279.7 pg/ml) in diagnosing lung cancer were 71.43%, 100.0%, 100.0%, 62.5%, and 0.743, respectively; the sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, and AUC for fibulin-3 (cut-off point ≤6.68 pg/ml) were 64.29%, 90.0%, 93.1%, 54.5%, and 0.736, respectively (P>0.05) (Figure 2A,B). This evidence concerns the gene BIRC5 and lung carcinoma.
