Text mining analysis of the selected genes showed their primary involvement in six pathways of cancer hallmarks: genome instability and mutations (KIT, MGMT, CFC1, and SALL4), inducing angiogenesis (PRSS21 and SOX17), replicative immortality (HOXA9 and OCT4), invasion and metastasis (NANOG and MAGEC2), sustaining proliferative signaling (SOX2), and resisting cell death (RASSF1) (Figure 3). The gene discussed is RASSF1; the disease is cancer.
