Different studies have shown that among members of Wnt family (19 human Wnt proteins), Wnt2 protein (Wingless-type MMTV integration site family, member 2) has an important role in tumorigenesis of several human cancers including ovarian cancer, esophageal cancer, non-small-cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, and CRC. Here, WNT2 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
