AKT1 and diabetic kidney disease: The results of GO and KEGG pathway analyses identified biological processes and signaling pathways that are involved in the development of DKD, including ErbB, MAPK, Hippo, Wnt, Ras, and PI3K-Akt signaling pathways, as determined by analysis of the downregulated miRNAs, and type II diabetes mellitus, and the AMPK and HIF-1 signaling pathways by analysis of the upregulated miRNA (Ni et al., 2015; Chen and Harris, 2016; Persson and Palm, 2017).
