Overexpression of PDK1 has been associated with poor prognosis in non-small cell lung cancer [39], nasopharyngeal carcinoma [40], and head and neck squamous cancer [41], whereas Shinkyo et al. [42] found that increased expression of PDK1 prolonged survival in colon cancer, which is consistent with our findings. The gene discussed is PDK1; the disease is malignant colon neoplasm.
