In a stratified cohort of patients (all CRSwNP, adult male, of New Zealand European ancestry, and nonsmokers), numerous interpatient differences were observed, including prominent inflammation‐related proteins such as the immunoglobulin protein IGHG3, and the eosinophilia‐related proteins eosinophil peroxidase (EPX), proteoglycan 2 (PRG2; major basic protein), and eosinophilic cationic protein (RNASE3). This evidence concerns the gene RNASE3 and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.
