Eprosartan and lisuride, drugs predicted to have overall strong binding affinity values for TMPRSS2, demonstrated that they could effectively control TMPRSS2 by showing gene expression signatures similar to the previously proposed TMPRSS2 inhibitors (bromhexine, a mucolytic drug for respiratory diseases; probucol, an anti-hyperlipidemic drug). The gene discussed is TMPRSS2; the disease is respiratory system disorder.
