ALB and deep vein thrombosis: The present study focused on admission DVT following intertrochanteric fractures, and found the incidence of 20.1%, and particularly that of proximal thrombosis being 5.9%; obesity, delay to admission, increased D-dimer level (> 1.44 mg/L) and reduced albumin (< 31.7 g//L) were identified as independent factors associated with DVT.
