INS and obesity disorder: Further, pathway analysis of the differentially methylated genes of all the four groups showed the involvement of these genes in numerous pathways, namely, metabolic, pathways in cancer, PI3K-Akt, MAPK, thermogenesis, JAK-STAT, autophagy, insulin, etc. Dysregulation of these fundamental pathways has been shown to be associated with obesity [2, 3, 36–43].
