IFNG and COVID-19: Quantification of individual subsets did not identify any significant changes (Figure 4c); however, the highly inflammatory TEM Tc1/Tc17 population (expressing both IFNγ and IL‐17) was 13‐fold more numerous in COVID‐19 patients than in healthy controls, with 27/43 (63%) COVID‐19 patients exhibiting numbers > 2 standard deviations above the average of healthy individuals (Figure 4d, Supplementary table 1).
