Our results of CA125 (82.4%) and HE4 (62.6%) sensitivities, however, were different from the above results, which may be caused by different disease-entry criteria—as CA125 and HE4 are also upregulated in many other diseases, including uterine fibroids, diverticulitis, endometriosis, liver cirrhosis, normal menstruation, and pregnancy26–28. This evidence concerns the gene MUC16 and cirrhosis of liver.
