Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a hematopoietic disease characterized by the expression of the BCR-ABL fusion oncoprotein, which is caused by a reciprocal translocation between chromosomes 9 and 22 [t(9;22)(q34;q11)] [1]. Here, ABL1 is linked to chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
