Serum phosphorus and FGF23 levels were significantly higher in patients with hypoparathyroidism (5.9 ± 1.6 mg/dL, and 381.9 ± 175 pg/mL) than the control group (4.8 ± 0.8 mg/dL, and 241.2 ± 121.0 pg/mL) (P = 0.002 and P = 0.005 respectively). This evidence concerns the gene FGF23 and hypoparathyroidism.
