Additionally, serum levels of IL-10 (control: 115 ± 22.1; patient: 158 ± 31.7; P < 0.001), IL-35 (control: 377 ± 63.84; patient: 499 ± 42.95; P < 0.001), and TGF-β (control: 28 ± 6.87; patient: 112 ± 19.47; P < 0.005) were significantly increased in SLE patients compared with the healthy subjects. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
