ALB and End Stage Liver Disease: Conventional prognostic scores such as Child–Pugh [6], model of end-stage liver disease (MELD) [7] and albumin-bilirubin score (ALBI) [8] have been useful for assessing the prognosis of general patients with liver cirrhosis, but their predictive performances remain suboptimal for the estimation of outcomes after an episode of acute gastrointestinal bleeding in patients with cirrhosis.
