On the one hand, ACE2 suppresses breast cancer angiogenesis by inhibiting the VEGF/VEGFR2/ERK pathway (Zhang et al., 2019) and on the other hand, downregulation of the ACE2/Ang-(1–7)/MasR axis enhances breast cancer metastasis by enhancing store-manipulated calcium entry (Yu et al., 2016).
