The most strongly elevated cadherin after the WNT/β-catenin pulse, CDH3, was reported to correlate with the loss of an epithelial phenotype of tumor cells upon gaining the ability to migrate and invade other tissues (Baek et al., 2010; Li et al., 2014), while CHD3 suppression apparently reversed this phenotype (Timmermans-Sprang et al., 2019). The gene discussed is CDH17; the disease is neoplasm.
