To disclose the possible effect of endocytic Rabs on the process of T. cruzi infection, we transfected cells with the dominant-negative forms of these Rabs to prevent the normal function of the proteins and compare the level of infection obtained at 1 h after infection, with cells transfected with the GFP plasmid alone (GFP-Vector) and also with cells that overexpress the wild-type forms of these Rabs (GFP-Rab WT). The gene discussed is AGFG1; the disease is infection.
