Recently, a mouse and cell-line model study demonstrated β2-activation of adrenergic receptors (β2-ARs) on NSCLC cells due to stress hormones, which cooperatively signal with mutant EGFR, resulting in the inactivation of the tumor suppressor liver kinase B1 and subsequent induction of interleukin-6 expression (5). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
