Several researches have illuminated that KIAA1199 is over-expressed in different cancers, including oral squamous cell carcinoma (Chanthammachat et al., 2013), breast cancer (Evensen et al., 2013), gastric cancer (Matsuzaki et al., 2009), colorectal tumors (Birkenkamp-Demtroder et al., 2011; LaPointe et al., 2012), prostate cancer (Michishita et al., 2006), ovarian cancer (Shen et al., 2019) and hepatocellular carcinoma (Gu et al., 2018; Jiang et al., 2018).
