LCT and Familial prostate cancer: A one-sided Wilcoxon rank sum test revealed SNPs in high LD with the lactase persistence SNP had smaller p-values for one-sided tests of beta < 0, compared to SNPs not in high LD with lactase persistence (p = 1.611e-7, Figure 2A) suggesting a possible negative association of the LCT locus with prostate cancer disease relative to SNPs not in the locus.
