By conducting genome-wide association studies (GWASs), we and other independent groups identified multiple top inherited predispositions to acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) susceptibility, including single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) at ARID5B, IKZF1, GATA3 and etc. (Papaemmanuil et al., 2009; Trevino et al., 2009; Perez-Andreu et al., 2013, 2015; Xu et al., 2013, 2015; Vijayakrishnan and Studd, 2018; Wiemels et al., 2018). The gene discussed is ARID5B; the disease is acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
