Estrogen-related receptor gamma is a tumor suppressor as well as an activator of multiple cancers, including gastric cancer (Kang et al., 2018), breast cancer (Kumari et al., 2018), laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (Shen et al., 2019), and liver cancer (Kim et al., 2016). The gene discussed is ESRRG; the disease is laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
