This was shown, when intranasal delivery of murine IgA, but not IgG monoclonal antibodies (mAb) of the same alpha crystalin (Acr) antigen specificity, when combined with mouse interferon-γ, imparted protection against M. tuberculosis lung infection in mice (6, 7) and could also prevent post-chemotherapy relapse of infection and lung pathology (6–9). The gene discussed is CD79A; the disease is infection.
