This discordant behavior in CD8+ T-cells has been shown in disorders associated with mutations in LYST gene like Chediak-Higashi syndrome and some forms of hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (62, 75), characterized by defects in proteins regulating cytotoxic lymphocyte degranulation and shown to reduce surface CD107a expression (76–78). This evidence concerns the gene LYST and Chediak-Higashi syndrome.
