CD8A and hemophagocytic syndrome: This discordant behavior in CD8+ T-cells has been shown in disorders associated with mutations in LYST gene like Chediak-Higashi syndrome and some forms of hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (62, 75), characterized by defects in proteins regulating cytotoxic lymphocyte degranulation and shown to reduce surface CD107a expression (76–78).
