We found that mutations in CDCA5, CEP55, HELLS, and NEK2 lead to a reduction in OS in patients with CRC (p < .05); besides, mutations in CCNB1, CDK1, CEP55, KIF14, and RFC3 are significantly associated with a reduction in disease‐free survival in patients with CRC (p < .05). This evidence concerns the gene NEK2 and colorectal carcinoma.
