IRF3 and digestive system carcinoma: A recent report indicated that IRF3 interacted with both Yes-associated proteins (YAP) and TEAD4 in the nucleus and promoted YAP activation, resulting in accelerating gastrointestinal carcinoma progression25, but we failed to detect such change of YAP in the absence of IRF3, either by cellular distribution of YAP (Supplementary Fig. S3k) or by mRNA expression level of YAP/TAZ target genes (CTCG and Cyr61; Supplementary Fig. S3l).
