NLRP3 and pulmonary fibrosis: What’s more, overexpression of NLRP3 significantly increased the expression of α-SMA and collagen I, compared to scutellarin treatment group (Supplementary Fig. 5A, B), indicating that scutellarin inhibited EMT in BLM-induced pulmonary fibrosis through suppressing the expression of NLRP3, and manually elevating the NLRP3 level eliminated the anti-EMT efficacy of scutellarin (Fig. 8).
