Notably, exogenously delivered H2S may suppress cell proliferation by promoting TRPV1-mediated extracellular Ca2+ entry in multiple cancer cell lines [41], including leukemia, breast cancer, cervical carcinoma, whereas capsaicin-induced TRPV1 activation exerts an anticancer effect in CRC [42], breast cancer [43] and bladder cancer [44] cell lines.
