SOD1 and Dravet syndrome: Increased OS has been linked to the triplication of the Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase (SOD), the transcription factor Ets-2, the stress-inducing factors DSCR1, and the amyloid precursor protein (APP), and it has been consistently observed in different DS primary cells including fibroblasts [20,23], cortical neurons, astrocytes, pancreatic cells, and lymphoblastic cell lines from both DS young and old patients [22,24,25].
