Among different inflammatory markers, such as C-Reactive Protein (CRP) and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) [20], the evaluation of Neutrophil/Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) and the Platelet/Lymphocyte Ratio (PLR) may have a high value in predicting the prognosis of different CVDs including MI, acute coronary syndrome, Heart Failure (HF) and Atherosclerosis [21,22]. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and acute coronary syndrome.
