The presence of Tau inclusions is observed in a number of neurological diseases (Tauopathies), including AD, frontotemporal lobar degeneration with Tau inclusions, Pick’s disease, progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal degeneration, argyrophillic grain disease, some prion diseases, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis/parkinsonism-dementia complex [2]. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and progressive supranuclear palsy.
