Figure 6a,b shows representative immunohistochemistry images of Ki-67 according to PAX6 expression. The mean mitotic count of the low PAX6 expression group was higher than that of the high PAX6 expression group (1.45 vs. 0.80, p = 0.11). The total rate of metachronous hepatic metastasis during follow-up was 5.9% (n = 3/51); 2/11 (18.2%) in the low and 1/40 (2.5%) in the high PAX6 expression group (p = 0.114). Two patients died during follow-up, both in the low PAX6 expression group (n = 2/11, 18.2% vs. n = 0/41, 0%, p = 0.043). The gene discussed is MKI67; the disease is metastasis.
