Although MYD88-L265P mutation seemed to be very characteristic of this disease, it has also been described in other LGBLs with lower frequency, namely in MZL (6%-10%) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL) (3% to 8%) [5]. The gene discussed is MYD88; the disease is B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
