We found that the phosphoinositide 3-kinase and protein Kinase B (PI3K/AKT) signaling, STAT3, signal transducer and activator of transcription 5 (STAT5), signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) and rat sarcoma and mitogen-activated protein kinase (RAS/MAPK) signaling converge at the functions of cell proliferation, cell differentiation and cell survival (S2 Fig in S1 File). The gene discussed is STAT1; the disease is sarcoma.
