In a study that assessed the antibody response to the RBD of the SARS-CoV-2 S1 subunit, Suthar et al. (11) found that a majority of COVID-19 patients developed class-switched IgG responses specific for RBD, and also IgM and IgA titers lower than IgG indicating that antibody class-switching to IgG occurs early during acute infection. This evidence concerns the gene CD40LG and COVID-19.
