Analysis of serum samples from a cohort of 46 patients with ovarian cancer following four cycles of bevacizumab treatment revealed (Supplementary Table S1) a reasonably good correlation between circulating drug levels determined by ELISA and the VEGFA neutralizing activity of bevacizumab (Figures 4A,B) and a close correlation between the VEGF2A neutralizing activity of bevacizumab and the ability of bevacizumab to activate ADCC (Figures 4B,C). The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
