HYAL1 and congestive heart failure: When excluding patients with chronic airway disease and chronic heart failure (33 controls vs. 50 patients) we significantly lower HMW-HA (28.62/16.50–44.86/ vs. 47.45/25.38–89.90/ng/ml, p = 0.021) and significantly higher HYAL-1 (0.61/0.31–0.94/ vs. 0.31/0.31–0.54/ng/ml, p = 0.002) levels were detected in OSA.
