To further understand molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in the regulation of autophagy induction by AMPKαl through TRAF6-BECN1 signaling axis, thereby regulating cancer progression, we explored the functional role of AMPKαl in cancer migration and invasion of AMPKαl-knockout (AMPKα1KO) lung cancer and breast cancer cells in the present study and demonstrated its functional association in AMPKαl-knockdown (AMPKα1KD) cells, 42 primary non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLCs). This evidence concerns the gene TRAF6 and breast cancer.
