PRAL and type 2 diabetes mellitus: It revealed that high NEAP and PRAL values increased the risk of T2DM by over 50% (HR 1.56, 95% CI: 1.29–1.90; p < 0.0001 for PRAL; RR 1.57, 95% CI: 1.30–1.89; p < 0.0001 for NEAP) with the correlation being particularly intensified in women with BMI < 25 kg/m2.
