A glycolytic phenotype of cancer cells is associated with worse prognosis and stimulated by TAM-derived TNF [110,111], IL-6 [111], C-C motif chemokine ligand 8 (CCL8) [112] and HIF1α-stabilizing long noncoding RNA transported in extracellular vesicles [113] in different human cancers including glioblastoma, lung and breast cancer. The gene discussed is CCL8; the disease is breast cancer.
