The fasting blood glucose levels were similar, comparing the genotypes throughout the high-fat diet feeding experiment; however, plasma insulin and the homeostasis model assessment score of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) were about 2-fold lower in Stk25–/– mice than in WT littermates at the end of the feeding regimen, which was paralleled by a modest reduction in diet-induce weight gain (Supplemental Figure 7, A–D).
