In a previous study conducted in the Geriatrics ward of the Soroka University Medical Center (41) was found that anamnestic FIM, age, co-morbidity (severe congestive heart failure, visual acuity impairment), MMSE score, and serum albumin level were independent predictors of rehabilitation outcome which was defined as absolute efficacy of rehabilitation and calculated as: change in FIM during rehab, divided by [126 (maximum FIM) – admission FIM] ×100. Here, ALB is linked to congestive heart failure.
