Although the splicing change of BCL2L1 is small between hnRNPB1 siRNA transfected HCT116 colon cancer cells when compared to the untransfected cell, the ratio of Bcl-xs/Bcl-xl could be critical for cell survival as evident by increased caspase-3-cleavage and decreased cell viability in hnRNPB1 siRNA transfected cells. Here, CASP3 is linked to malignant colon neoplasm.
