Growing evidences show that BAP1 is frequently mutated in many human cancers to suggest BAP1 as a tumor suppressor [32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40]; however, there are also a few studies reporting that BAP1 plays a role in promoting growth of melanoma [41] and breast cancer [21].
