AKT1 and lung adenocarcinoma: Since the proliferation and survival of lung adenocarcinoma are principally driven by ERK and AKT downstream signaling, we thus examined the effects of an ERK inhibitor (PD184352) and AKT inhibitor (MK2206) on DRP1 phosphorylation, and the findings revealed that the roles of ERK and AKT in DRP1 activation varied in different lung adenocarcinoma cells (Fig. 4A).
