Although deleting DNM1L does not affect OXPOS and mtDNA synthesis in mouse embryonic fibroblasts [6], our results are similar to those of pancreatic cancers [11] and revealed that the loss of DRP1 in lung adenocarcinoma cell lines leads to increased mitophagy to mitochondrial damage and decreased OXPHOS and mtDNA copy numbers. Here, DNM1L is linked to lung adenocarcinoma.
