This study is the first to date, which has analysed both Ang-2 and the protein levels of its receptors Tie-1 and Tie-2 in the same patient population with epithelial ovarian cancer at the tissue level using both immunohistochemistry and qRT-PCR in primary tumors and related distal omental metastases and correlating the results to the clinical outcome of the patients. This evidence concerns the gene ANGPT2 and ovarian carcinoma.
