PINK1 and pulmonary fibrosis: PINK1 is an important regulatory protein of mitochondrial morphology, and it showed significantly increased expression in BLM-Mutyh−/− mice in the D14 (P < 0.001) and D28 groups (P = 0.049), which indicates that MUTYH deficiency contributes to the maintenance of mitochondrial dynamic regulation in mice with BLM-induced pulmonary fibrosis (Figures 6(d) and 6(e)).
